VII Bohol Duero Good Practice of DRRM- Creation of Duero Emergency Response Team (DERT 2011 The Duero Emergency Rescue Team (DERT) was created in September 2011 after the previous mayor issued Executive Order No. 5 creating the Duero Emergency Rescue Team. DERT is under the supervision of the MDRRMC with the following composition: Chairman: MDRRMO V-Chairman: Action Officer Members: DERT Volunteers, MHO Personnel Consultant: Chief of Local Fire Marshall Functions: 1. Coordinate with the MDRRM Council. VII Bohol Lila Good Practice in Solid Waste Management 2008. The LGU initiated efforts in maintaining activities towards solid waste management through proper waste segregation and good disposal system with the Barangays having a transfer station to serve as the disposal system before the LGU collects the garbages and brings it to the Municipal Recovery Facility or MRF operated by the LGU. Previous Evaluation the LGU ranked 8th place thus an improvement of the ranking of the said evaluation.
VII Bohol Lila No Plate No Eat Policy (Best Practice for SWM Management) 2007 The Barangay LGU initiated a no plate no eat policy. During LGU Barangay initiated celebrations barangay constituents are required to bring their own plates and utensils to avoid disposal of garbages brought about by kitchen utensils like paper plates and plastic spoons and forks. VII Bohol Loboc “Realizing Dreams through Tourism Development” 2006 “Realizing Dreams Through Tourism Development” has earned for the town the Galing Pook award. The feat was another feather to the cap of Mayor Leon Calipusan who steered the municipality into a major tourism player by tapping the many attractive potentials of the town. This program has gained positive results and impacts. It also promotes people’s participation and empowerment, innovation, transferability and sustainability, efficiency of program service delivery.
